LifeSessions: A Good Call

All philosophical self-work aims at revealing a truth denied. It brings what has been pushed into the shadows back into the light of awareness, recreating the moment, however long ago, that we turned away from our better knowing. We may have done this for a good reason, but even the best reason in the world alters the truth not one whit. Suffering is self-inflicted, a prison of our own making. If the truth sets us free, it follows that any situation in which we find ourselves stuck is calling us to a truth we haven't been willing to allow.
